Silk Road Group hosted Michael Cohen of Trump Organization
16 Jul 2010
The Silk Road Group (SRG) has hosted Michael Cohen, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization and Special Counsel to Donald Trump, during a three day visit to Georgia. Mr. Cohen visited sites in Tbilisi and Batumi suitable for potential real estate development projects.
SRG has been in talks with Donald Trump and his team for the past few months about investment possibilities in the Capital of Georgia and the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. In April 2010, at a meeting with the President of Georgia Micheil Saakashvili in New York City, Donald Trump confirmed his interest in Georgia’s real estate market. Following this meeting, SRG offered to invite Mr. Trump's representative Michael Cohen to come to Georgia for a fact finding visit.
The outcome of this visit could be positive for Georgia. As George Ramishvili, Chairman of SRG, stated: "Upon his departure, Mr. Cohen confirmed his strong interest in Georgia. One or two development sites did catch his particular interest. We hope that this visit will give rise to a successful Georgian real estate development project to be implemented by the Trump Organization, which could be jointly with the Silk Road Group."
