Final Countdown for Radisson BLU Iveria Hotel |
Radisson Blu Iveria had a successful start
13 Apr 2010
According to results of the first six months of operation, the market share of the Radisson Blu Iveria hotel has reached its target level. While the Georgian hotel market is only slowly recovering from its depressed levels following the crisis, the performance of Iveria remains promising. “The number of visitors is increasing daily. Most guests are happy to come back to the Radisson Blu Iveria hotel, which is a great stimulus for us. It is pleasant when the guests appreciate your service,” says Atakan Turhan, the general manager.
When the Radisson Blu Iveria hotel opened in September 2009, Radisson Blu was the third international hotel brand entering the Georgian market. The hotel’s 250 rooms increased the supply of the market by 40%. Such an increase in supply would be a challenge in any market, more so in the Georgian market during the economic environment of fall 2009.
However, the Radisson Blu Iveria hotel was able to catch its fair share of the market without driving down prices. Its success is largely due to its location and the service offering. In particular its conference and banquet facilities as well as the Anne Semonin Spa help to bring visitors to Radisson Blu Iveria hotel.
The Silk Road Group is one of the investors behind the Radisson Blu Iveria hotel. More information on the Radisson Blu Iveria hotel can be found at http://www.radissonblu.com/hotel-tbilisi
